Seven Heads Peninsula Walk
The Seven Heads Peninsula Walk is one of Ireland's most spectacular coastal walks, offering breathtaking scenery across a 25km route (48km full loop). Launched in 1998, this waymarked trail extends from Timoleague through Courtmacsherry, around rugged cliffs and shoreline to Dunworley Bay, and on through Barryscove, Ardgehane and Ballinglanna.

Highlights
The route takes you through diverse territory including rocky coastlines with magnificent marine life, sandy beaches, rich farmland, and picturesque villages. Historical sites dot the landscape, including ring forts, standing stones, and the ruins of Dooneen Castle. The trail offers spectacular cliff-top views, seascapes, and excellent birdwatching opportunities with rare species such as choughs.
