John Spillane, Winner of the 2024 ‘RTE Folk Album of the year’ for his magnum opus ‘Fioruisce’, has maintained a musical residency at DeBarra’s for twenty plus years, even continuing this residency throughout the pandemic with virtually streamed performances from the folk club at the height of lockdown.

So we are delighted to welcome John and his superstar band of wrens back to the Folk Club to continue his Clonakilty residency until the end of time!

So whether its your first time to see John or if your a regular, his shows at DeBarra’s are always special occasions where audiences are treated to the magic dynamism of John’s band (Flor Rahilly, Nigel Grufferty, Martin Leahy) special mystery guests and the odd world premiere of new songs, all wrapped with roguish humour tinged with Cork irreverence.
